Research on Optimal Configuration of Pumped Storage Energy in Power Grid Considering Voltage Transient Stability
The large-scale integration of renewable energy into the power system has solved energy shortages and environmental problems. In response to the problem of renewable energy units being disconnected from the grid due to excessive transient overvoltage after faults, this paper proposes a location selection method based on transient voltage safety indicators. Under the premise of meeting voltage safety crossing requirements, the configuration capacity of pumped storage is minimized, then established an optimized configuration model for pumped storage that takes into account voltage transient stability, and solved it using an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm; Simulations were conducted on the modified Nordic system in the northern region and equivalent external systems to determine the optimal configuration nodes and capacity of pumped storage power stations. In response to three-phase short circuit faults, the changes in the bus voltage and transmission channel power of wind turbines before and after the configuration of pumped storage were investigated. The simulation results verified that the optimized configuration method of pumped storage proposed in this paper can effectively improve the transient voltage safety level of the power grid at the sending end and reduce the deviation between the external transmission channel power and the arranged transmission power after faults.
