Application of Ultrasonic Flow Measurement in Accuracy Verification of Submarine Cable Flowmeters
The flowmeter of the oil pump station for the 500kV oil-filled submarine cable in Hainan Power Grid Interconnection System can reflect whether the flow rate of insulating oil inside the submarine cable is normal. Operation and maintenance personnel can judge whether the submarine cable is damaged based on the flow rate, making the verification of flowmeter accuracy extremely important. The traditional offline verification method involves dismantling the flowmeter and sending it to a professional testing institution for verification, which has a long verification cycle, high implementation costs, and significant risks. In response to these issues, this paper proposes an online verification method based on ultrasonic flow measurement and applies it to the verification of flowmeters for oil-filled submarine cables. The field test results meet the actual requirements, proving that this method can be used for the verification of flowmeters.
