A Rapid Self-Healing Method Enhancing Resilience and Adaptability in Overhead Distribution Networks Against Failure Occurrence

This paper focuses on the issue of short-term power outages in distribution networks. Based on existing feeder automation technology and traditional fault section identification algorithms for distribution networks, it studies a fast fault self-healing algorithm for intelligent distribution networks to improve the self-healing speed to the millisecond level. Building on traditional distribution automation, a control system architecture for fast fault self-healing in intelligent distribution networks, based on overhead and cable lines, is proposed. This architecture can be considered a generic primitive framework for intelligent distribution networks, providing a basis for future simulation studies on rapid self-healing. Through detailed research and analysis of traditional feeder automation technology, a fast fault self-healing algorithm based on the intelligent distribution network model is proposed. Given the limited research on fast self-healing algorithms for intelligent distribution networks, the proposed algorithm has been validated through PSCAD simulations, demonstrating its correctness and reliability, and offering valuable insights for future research on fast self-healing algorithms for intelligent distribution networks.
