A Fast Risk Assessment Method for Power System Considering Wind Power Uncertainty
With the large-scale integration of renewable energy into the power grid, its uncertainty brought an impact on the economic and stable operation of power system, and the challenges faced by power system risk assessment are becoming increasingly serious. This paper proposes a fast risk assessment method for power system based on multi-parametric programming theory, which could fully quantify the load shedding risk and wind power curtailment risk caused by wind power uncertainty. First, the parameter space of wind power is represented as a set of multiple critical regions based on optimal partition and KKT conditions, and the linear mapping relationship matrices corresponding to each critical region are obtained. The risk indicators of power system with specific wind power scenarios could be directly calculated through these matrices, which accelerates the process of risk assessment and provides a reference for improving the efficiency of power system risk assessment with the integration of renewable energy.
