Research on DC Fault Clearing Strategy Based on MMC Sub-module Transmission System
When the DC fault clearing technology of the MMC converter valve is adopted, the system does not need to configure expensive DC circuit breakers on the DC side, and it is economical. It does not need to operate AC circuit breakers. When a short circuit occurs on the DC side, the MMC's blocking function with DC fault-clearing ability can be used to quickly clear the faults. Based on the existing DC fault-clearing technology of the MMC converter valve, this paper aims to propose a DC fault-clearing and system recovery strategy for hybrid MMC.
