RESPONSABILIDADE SOCIAL
During the COVID-19 pandemic, companies have faced significant challenges, especially banks, whose economic growth is linked to the financial activity of their customers. This study investigated the Social Responsibility Reports of the main private banks in Brazil between 2020 and 2022, focusing on the initiatives practiced during this period. The goal was to identify practices adopted by the banks which aligned with the academic literature on Social Responsibility. The data was obtained from the reports available on the websites of the aforementioned financial institutions, using a documentary research approach and content analysis. The results revealed the implementation of 75 actions in response to COVID-19, with Banco Bradesco leading the ranking with 40 actions, followed by Itaú Unibanco (22) and Banco Santander with 22 and 13 actions respectively, all demonstrating alignment with the principles of Social Responsibility.
