Robotic repair in recurrent lumbar hernia
This video demonstrates robotic lumbar hernia repair in a 33-year-old male with a history of recurrent hernia following a laparotomy for a childhood accident.Utilizing four trocar ports and careful dissection to manage adhesions and herniated fat, the surgery involved meticulous mesh placement without suture closure of the defect. The technique ensured delicate handling and precise articulation, highlighting the safety and efficacy of robotic surgery for lumbar hernia repair. The patient was discharged three days post-operation without complications and was without recurrence one year later.
