Screening of maize hybrids against corn leaf aphid, Rhopalosiphum maidis (fitch)

AbstractField screening of 18 maize (Zea mays L.) hybrids was carried out against corn leaf aphid, Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch). These hybrids were categorized into resistant, moderately resistant, moderately susceptible, susceptible and highly susceptible categories based on aphid density rating. Five hybrids viz., MAH 21-435, PJHM-1, MAH 21 437, MAH 21-441, and BMRH-8 were found to be superior by recording lowest score of less than 2 in both summer and kharif 2021-22.
