A passage from pincer complexes to rationally designed phosphine-free Co( <scp>iii</scp> ) catalysts supported by a pentadentate ligand for activation of alcohols: studies on sp 3 C–H alkylation of 9 <i>H</i> -fluorene and quinoline synthe
Two Co( iii ) catalysts C1 and C2 derived from a pentadentate carboxamide ligand (BPAPA-H), are reported and used as catalysts for selective mono sp 3 -H alkylation of 9 H -fluorene and quinoline synthesis through dehydrogenation of primary alcohols.
