Politicization and Securitization of Consular Affairs in International Relations
This study examines the development of consular affairs in international politics and analyzes recent trends in the politicization and securitization of consular issues within a political context. While consular affairs have traditionally focused on the protection of nationals abroad, this study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how these functions have evolved into matters of political and security relevance. It also explores the impact of these changes on contemporary international relations and concludes with an assessment of their implications.
