Spring Mechanism Runs Forever.DIY Free Energy Generator

This paper presents a comprehensive investigation of spring-powered mechanical energy systems through the design, construction, and analysis of a functional generator prototype. We demonstrate how potential energy stored in wound springs can be converted into usable electricity while rigorously examining the system’s limitations imposed by fundamental physical laws. Experimental results show typical energy conversion efficiencies of 25-40%, with output voltages of 1.5-4V capable of powering small loads like LEDs. The study emphasizes the impossibility of perpetual motion through quantitative analysis of friction losses, heat dissipation, and mate- rial constraints. Educational applications are highlighted, showing how this hands-on project effectively teaches en- ergy conversion principles while debunking common mis- conceptions about ”free energy” devices.
