Judith, de «mulier sancta» a «femme fatale»: un análisis de la evolución iconográfica de la heroína del Antiguo Testamento
In this article, a general study is carried out on the iconographic journey of the biblical heroine Judith through the most significant artistic works from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. In particular, the works are grouped according to their similarities and differences in meaning and chronology, which allows for a comparison among them, as well as an initial approach to the analysis of the iconographic evolution that transforms the heroine from a saintly woman to a femme fatale.
