Monologue dramatique en classe de FLE : Lettre dʼune Africaine à ses sœurs occidentales de Calixthe Beyala
We consider it relevant to reflect on the power of drama applied to the teaching of French as a foreign language. This work presents the development carried out by a group of FLE students from the Degree of Tourism at the University of Almería, which has resulted in a theatrical adaptation of the work by Calixthe Beyala, Lettre dʼune Africaine à ses soeurs occi-dentales (1995), where the reader/audience discovers the role of women in African tradition, their problems and challenges. Like Beyalaʼs text, our adapted text, a monologue as well as play, will try to awaken our participating students to come out of their individualism and show solidarity with the situation of women in Africa.
