Interjecting a Black Feminist Geographies Framework into Social Science Research Paradigms
Abstract: Historically, social science research paradigms have excluded, distorted, or marginalized the experiences of Black women and femmes who were indispensable to the building of empire and the construction of the Americas. This essay uses geography and history as the sample disciplines to examine how incorporating a Black Feminist Geographies framework into the larger theoretical structure of social science research would combat intellectual dishonesty and aid in the ethical production of transformative research.
