Dynamic event‐triggered intermittent control for multi‐agent systems with semi‐Markovian switching topologies and delayed opinion

Abstract This study develops an event‐triggered intermittent control scheme for multi‐agent systems with delayed opinions under semi‐Markovian switching topologies. This strategy makes the system achieve exponential consensus when accounting for the communication delay and the opinions. The opinions are influenced by both themselves and their neighbors. By employing semi‐Markov processes to model topology switching with nonexponential dwell times, the approach overcomes traditional Markovian switching models. The proposed event‐triggered intermittent control scheme significantly reduces the frequency of control updates while guaranteeing exponential convergence via sufficient conditions derived from Lyapunov theory. Additionally, Zeno behavior is excluded to ensure practical implementability. Ultimately, a numerical simulation is exhibited to demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the derived theoretical conclusions.
