Rigorous multiple statistical test unveils combinations of preceding diseases at risk for the development of adult nephrotic syndrome
• Nephrotic syndrome is a renal disease with few known risk factors for its onset. • Comorbidities and their combinations can serve as risk factors. • Large claims databases are well-suited for analyzing comorbidity combinations. • Limitless-Arity Multiple-testing Procedure was applied to time-series analysis. • The proposed method revealed comorbidity combinations four years before the onset.
