Spin-polarized charge separation in In2O3 hollow spheres for efficiently boosting photo-driven CO2 hydrogenation
A highly surface O-defected hollow In2O3 sphere was facilely synthesized. These defects induce ferromagnetism, introducing spin polarization that enhances photogenerated charge separation and transfer efficiency, extends carrier lifetimes, and ultimately boosts photo-driving CO2 hydrogenation with H2 into CO with a production rate of 21.28 mmol h-1 g-1, a ∼4000-fold enhancement over commercial In2O3.
