Ofícios e saberes profissionais
The article aims to discuss trades and professional knowledge that are socially constituted in the workplace. From a reflection on the social constitution of professional knowledge, it analyzes the knowledge considered dominant and that of trades, prescribed work and real work, extending the discussion to the processes of learning this knowledge in the housing construction sector. The analysis is based on two field studies, using qualitative techniques, carried out in different contexts and at different times in history, both focusing on the professional learning process. From the research, we highlight the centrality of memory, creativity and knowledge developed on the spot in everyday work. We highlight the configuration and permanence of knowledge and the potential that emerges from the articulation between the processes of work-based learning that can be developed in different training environments.
