Sustainability in project risk management methodologies through the AHP-TOPSIS method applied to logistics and supply chain management
Awareness for the environment has increased in all areas of society and sustainability has become a priority in the optimization of resources and productive processes within the logistics and supply management area. This study highlights the value of project management and, more specifically, risk management, to obtain a greater degree of sustainability. To achieve this, an evaluation was conducted to determine the degree of sustainability attained by the currently most relevant risk management methods. This study proposes a bibliographic analysis of case study guides, and applies the AHP-TOPSIS methodology to evaluate and classify their sustainability. The indicators to be used were set based on the three areas of sustainability proposed by the Triple Base Line (TBL): environmental, social and governance. This study makes an initial approximation to the reality of risk management sustainability in the logistics and supply chain management area. The results show a low average score in sustainability among all the selected methods, with only one standing out favorably. This reveals and reflects upon the imperative need for a practical incorporation of greater vision and sensitivity towards sustainability within this field. • Sustainability in risk management for the optimization of the resources and processes • Degree of sustainability of the main risk management methods • Evaluation and classification of risk management methods according to the degree of sustainability
