Coherent Accumulation of Random Frequency and Pulse Repetition Interval Agile Radar
As the electromagnetic spectrum becomes increasingly crowded, the random frequency and pulse repetition interval agile (RFPA) radar signal is proposed, which can make the transmitted waveforms hop in the limited time series and narrow band frequency points, so that the detection could be more stable and flexible. Researches on the coherent processing of RFPA signal is popular, but the existing methods require high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and provide heavy computational burden to radar systems. In this paper, a coherent accumulation method for RFPA signal is proposed, which is based on phase compensation and non-uniform spectrum analysis. Based on the modeling of RFPA signal with transmission delay and derive its pulse compression output, the phase term is divided into compensation term and jitter term, which could then be processed separately. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed method.
