Aesthetic Learning as Mobility
Abstract This article describes fostering the ability to move within cultural and natural geographies from the perspective of aesthetic learning approaches. Land art allows for the comprehensive exploration of the seemingly self-evident fact that all acquisition of knowledge requires an arena, that is, an inspiring environment and space that provide opportunities for learning. We detail this in terms of “human mobility” and see that human mobility embraces a broad variety of site- and body-related aesthetic learning approaches such as displacement, variation, transformation, and multimodality. A person's mobility determines their learning ability. These contexts will be unfolded in relation to the learning opportunities afforded by a land art sculpture.
