Manipulation of soliton molecule in a passively mode-locked fiber laser by the pump modulation technique
The manipulation of soliton molecules was realized through the pump modulation technique in a passively mode-locked fiber laser. A soliton molecule could be generated by injecting a square signal into the pump driver. The separations of the soliton molecules could be controlled by adjusting the duty cycle or amplitude. Additional soliton singlets could be also generated by increasing the amplitude of the modulation signal, which could coexist with soliton molecules exhibiting different spectral separations. We offer an effective approach for the controlled manipulation of soliton molecules in ultrashort fiber laser.
