Clinical Analysis of Spontaneous Spinal Epidural Hematoma and Consideration of Indications for Surgery in Our Hospital
Background : Early surgery is recommended for spontaneous spinal epidural hematomas (SSEH) associated with neurological injury. Recently, many cases have shown symptom improvements without surgery. It is now recommended to wait for a few hours and operate only in cases where symptoms do not improve. However, to the best of our knowledge, there are no guidelines regarding the indications for surgery or the optimal timing from a single institution with a case series of a similar scale to that in our report.
