A new variational iteration method for solving reaction-diffusion equations

Abstract In this work, we propose a new variational iteration method for solving the partial differential equations that arise in the reaction-diffusion process. We use the quasilinearization technique to develop a new variational iteration method (NVIM). Adomian’s polynomials are used for dealing with nonlinear terms and reducing time and complexity. We also study the convergence of NVIM in Banach space. Two specific models of interest in the reaction-diffusion process are considered to demonstrate the capability and efficacy of the method. The convergence behavior of the method is looked at over the different values of parameters t and x . We compared the presented NVIM with the existing available method. The results and graphs show that the presented method is simple to use, highly efficacious, and quickly converges to the exact solutions.

We use the quasilinearization technique to develop a new variational iteration method (NVIM). Adomian’s polynomials are used for dealing with nonlinear terms and reducing time and complexity. The convergence behavior of the method is looked at over the different values of parameters t and x . We compared the presented NVIM with the existing available method. The results and graphs show that the presented method is simple to use, highly efficacious, and quickly converges to the exact solutions.
