Research on Hierarchical Routing Algorithm for Video Traffic Based on SDN and SVC Encoding
Based on the characteristics of SVC (Scalable Video Coding) streaming media coding technology, this paper designs a video traffic scheduling algorithm applied in SDN (Software-Defined Networking) network environment. The core idea is to increase the video streaming layer transmission according to the sensitivity of different layer video streams to the link state, in order to improve Receiver video quality and effectively alleviate network load conditions. The article first introduces related basic theories, introduces SDN technology and SVC coding technology briefly, analyzes the advantages of video streaming in the SDN environment, and then focuses on the mathematical model of the video streaming scheduling algorithm, and formulates a layered strategy based on the coding characteristics. The video stream is differentiated and the transmission path is selected considering the link status parameters. Finally, the proposed algorithm is implemented in the ONOS controller, and the network topology constructed by Mininet is used for simulation testing. The simulation results show the feasibility of the algorithm. Finally, the article summarizes the full text and gives some in-depth research directions and ideas.
