Design and Analysis of Universal Coupling for Main Drive Cross Shaft of Mechatronics Equipment
The load is trapezoidal along the axial direction of the cross shaft, and the surface distribution load of the outer cylindrical surface of the cross shaft is distributed on the arc according to the cosine law, and the arc angle is 120. The process of size optimization of the model by using ANSYS software is given. The failure causes and fracture analysis methods of the intermediate connecting pipe and connecting bolt of universal shaft, the strength checking method in engineering and the installation and maintenance methods of cross-shaft universal coupling are given. After checking the cross shaft, it is considered that the diameter of the cross shaft can meet the emulsion torque, but according to the analysis of the cross shaft broken on site, the fracture and the root of the crack are located at the transition fillet of the shaft root, which shows that the stress here is concentrated and the stress distribution gradient is large. The simplified method of the contact pressure analysis model of the cross shaft is given: the cross shaft is simplified as a cantilever plate and the joint fork is simplified as a rectangular block. The joint fork is regarded as a cantilever plate and the cross shaft as a half cylinder, and the axial contact pressure and the ring contact pressure are analyzed. The static strength and modal analysis of the cross universal coupling are carried out, and the distribution of stress and strain, the first 10 modes, natural frequency and critical speed are obtained. The modal function and displacement response of the cross universal coupling are deduced by using the torsional vibration partial differential theory.
