Plasmon-induced hot electrons trigger polymerization reactions on the surface of plasmonic nanocrystals at low temperatures

Hot electron-induced polymerization on plasmonic nanocrystal surfaces is less sensitive to changes in reaction temperature than other chemical reactions, making it feasible to form polymers on the surface of nanocrystals at low temperatures (−12 °C).
