Analysis of the Grab-drop Process of the Robotic Arm Based on the Ultralytics System

Robotic arms have been widely used in industrial tasks because of their high efficiency, low cost, and high execution for repeating processes. The robotic arm manipulator usually needs to grab targets from a pre-set position and then release them according to task requirements. Therefore, a robotic arm that can locate and move to an accurate position is necessary. However, in traditional industrial use, one robot manipulator has limitations in dealing with different types of work, such as telling apart various targets, and dividing and grabbing them. Therefore, the article proposed a real-time detecting method for target locating and established a data transmitting process for the robot manipulator to move and grab the locked target. The results show that the confidence coefficient almost reaches over 0.75, the depth camera can succeed in detecting the target and the robot manipulator can move to a specific position in work. The article shows a way of manipulating objects with great accuracy and low cost.
