Automatic Car Path Planning Based on an Improved RRT Algorithm

The application of robot technology in daily life is becoming increasingly widespread, and efficient path planning has become a key issue. The rapidly exploring random tree (RRT) algorithm, as an effective route planning method, has certain advantages when dealing with complex terrain or spaces, although it also has drawbacks like path twists and a fast convergence rate. This article focuses on RRT path optimization and delves into its performance and limitations in different scenarios. The traditional RRT algorithm has been improved by introducing fine-tuning algorithms, effectively improving the productiveness and capacity of route planning. The result of this experiment indicates that the raised optimization method can significantly reduce path length, shorten planning time, and improve path smoothness in various complex environments. This provides stronger support for the application of the RRT algorithm in practical engineering and helps to promote the further development of robot path planning technology. This optimization method not only improves the efficiency and flexibility of robots, but also lays a solid foundation for their widespread application in more fields. In the future, through continuous improvement and innovation of this technology, it is except to bring more convenience and surprises to people's lives.
