DAC Design and Simulation Based on Modelsim Platform

This paper designs and implements a high-precision digital-to-analog converter (DAC) based on the Modelsim platform to realize the conversion of digital signals to analog signals. The design of the DAC is written in Verilog hardware description language. The main modules include counter module, sinusoidal signal generation module, signal control module, selection module and output module. Through the collaborative work of these modules, the DAC can generate a stable sinusoidal waveform and support signal processing of different frequencies. In the simulation test, the designed DAC module successfully outputs 6 sinusoidal waveforms of different frequencies, proving its accuracy and stability in frequency control and signal conversion. During the test, the Modelsim platform was used for comprehensive simulation and verification to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of the design. The results show that the DAC design can not only meet the needs of multi-frequency signal conversion, but also has the characteristics of low power consumption and high efficiency, and is suitable for high-speed communication, audio processing and other fields. In addition, this paper also discusses the influence of different design parameters on the performance of the DAC, providing a reference for subsequent optimization design.
