THE ROLE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN INCREASING HUMAN CAPITAL
The article is devoted to the study of the role of physical education in the formation and development of human capital at the individual and institutional levels. The aim of the study is to assess the contribution of physical culture to improving the quality and sustainability of human capital, taking into account modern socio-economic conditions. The paper uses a methodological approach that includes an analysis of theoretical sources, statistical data, and institutional practices. The authors note that physical education promotes health, the development of personal and professional qualities, as well as reducing socio-economic risks. The analysis shows that despite the formal presence of physical education in individual educational institutions, its potential is being realized fragmentarily due to lack of investment, insufficient interdepartmental coordination and worn-out infrastructure. As a solution, it is proposed to form intersectoral management models, integrate physical activity into federal and regional programs, and expand partnerships between educational, medical, and sports institutions. The work is relevant and has practical significance, as it reveals the importance of physical education in strengthening the country’s labor potential and the sustainable development of society.
