Enhanced Adaptive Integral Sliding Controller for a Bidirectional DC converter

This work is addressing the design of an optimized adaptive integral sliding mode controller (OAISMC) by particle swarm optimization (PSO) for the control of a half-bridge bidirectional DC-DC converter. The suggested controller combines the advantages of super-twisting sliding mode control (STSMC) and Adaptive Control. The stability and robustness of the system with the proposed controller are guaranteed. Moreover, the suggested controller is easy to design and implement. Simulations performed on a half-bridge bidirectional DC-DC converter in MATLAB/Simulink environment demonstrate the superiority of the proposed controller over the classical counterparts. From the simulated results, the suggested controller is proven to be stable and robust with minimal chattering and steady state errors. The proposed controller can give robust performance in terms of rejection to input voltage and load variations
