Patch Array Antenna For Radar Level Measurement In Automation Industrial Process

Millimeter-wave radars for storage level measurements face many challenges, including their antenna design. To address this issue, a novel 2x2 antenna array is proposed. Operating in the band 76-81 GHz, it exhibits a peak gain of 12 dBi with low side lobes as well as a beamwidth of 25° and a bandwidth of 13 %. Further, its compact size (10.9 mm x 9.7 mm) made it suitable for industrial uses.
