Power Optimization in Hybrid Systems Integrating PV generator, Batteries and Supercapacitors
A hybrid energy storage system integrating photovoltaic (PV) panels, batteries, and supercapacitors offers a synergistic solution for sustainable energy management. PV panels serve as the primary renewable energy source, converting sunlight into electrical power. Batteries provide substantial energy storage capacity, ensuring long-term energy supply stability, while supercapacitors deliver rapid charge-discharge capabilities, addressing transient load demands and improving system responsiveness. This hybrid configuration leverages the complementary characteristics of batteries and supercapacitors: the high energy density of batteries and the high-power density of supercapacitors. Such a system enhances overall efficiency, reliability, and lifespan by mitigating the stress on batteries during peak load periods and reducing the frequency of deep discharge cycles. Additionally, the integration of advanced control strategies optimizes the energy flow, balancing the power supply from PV panels and storage components to meet dynamic load requirements. This approach is pivotal for applications in smart grids, renewable energy systems, and sustainable power solutions.
