Unmasking: An Elliptic Curve Cryptography and AI Approach to Mitigate Deepfake Threats and Societal Impact
The growth of deep-fake technology in the digital era has created significant challenges to the authenticity of digital content, individual privacy, and social security. This technology enables the creation of highly realistic yet misleading media content, which can be used to spread false information. This study proposes an innovative solution using a combination of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and advanced AI algorithms for deepfake detection and mitigation. ECC is employed to ensure data integrity and authentication, while AI models detect manipulated content through visual, audio, and metadata analysis. This solution offers a two-tier protection system by strengthening digital security and enhancing the accuracy of deepfake detection. Testing shows a significant improvement in digital media detection accuracy and verification. The results of this research not only provide effective mitigation against deep-fake threats but also open opportunities for further research in the integration of AI and cryptography for cybersecurity.
