Non-Linear Process Identification and Control of a SISO System Using First Principle: A Real Time Case Study
In this paper a novel methodology for identifying and implementing control strategies for non-linear systems is proposed. The dynamics are modeled using a first-principle approach, and an ordinary differential equation is derived. The transfer function is approximated by the FOPTD method. An Open-loop experiment is carried out to find the FOPTD parameters. A Closed-loop control experiment is carried out to verify the models in which the IMC tuning method was used to design the controller parameters.
