Collaborative Architecture-Based Interoperability Framework for Enterprise Operations Optimization

Digitalization is critical for modern organizations, requiring gradual enhancements across departments to accelerate operations and improve service delivery. Businesses often acquire new systems to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and boost company growth. The difficulty emerges when businesses utilize multiple systems concurrently to meet demand, often resulting in these systems being unintegrated. Effective communication between systems is vital to facilitate collaboration and integration, ensuring the achievement of business goals. Interoperability refers to a capacity of diverse systems to collaborate, share data, and use information effectively. It acts as a centralized hub, assimilating data from different systems and storage solutions, guaranteeing seamless access throughout the entire enterprise. The PRISMA methodology was applied for the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), allowing for adaptability to the research on interoperability solutions. Multiple strategies and cooperative techniques were also utilized to formulate a concept, model, and architecture referred to as OMEC. This study assists companies or organizations in refining their business processes and operations by implementing an interoperability framework to promote communication and collaboration in their digitization initiatives.
