Load Shedding Method for Feeders Considering Distributed Energy Sources

With the massive integration of distributed renewable energy into the distribution network, its output is difficult to monitor in real time. Traditional under-frequency load shedding measures do not take into account the output of distributed generation, which may result in the disconnection of these sources, further causing a frequency drop and increasing the actual loss from load shedding. To address this issue, this paper proposes a load shedding method for feeders that considers the output of distributed generation. The method takes into account factors such as the direction of power flow in the feeder, load types, and the cost of shedding. It also incorporates flexible loads, such as air conditioning, as frequency regulation resources. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of this method in reducing the miscutting of distributed generation and optimizing the shedding cost.
