Optimal Battery Management for Electrical Vehicles

In this paper, a BMS is designed to monitor and control the operation of a battery, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and safety. The multi-output DC-DC converter facilitates the integration of various power supply requirements within the system, enabling efficient power distribution to different components. The BMS incorporates various protection mechanisms to ensure the safety and longevity of the battery. It includes overvoltage protection, where the microcontroller monitors the battery voltage and activates the relay circuit to disconnect the load in case of excessive voltage levels. Overcurrent protection is implemented to safeguard the battery from excessive current draw by disconnecting the load when the current exceeds a predefined threshold. Additionally, overheating protection is employed to prevent the battery from operating at high temperatures, ensuring safe and reliable performance.
