Metasurface-Enabled High-Gain and Dual-Band Antenna for 5G

This paper presents the design of Metasurface enabled high-gain patch antenna for 5G systems operating at frequencies; 5.4 GHz and 4.6 GHz. The antenna structure incorporates a square patch over a Metasurface to enhance its performance. Simulation and measurement analyses are conducted to evaluate the antenna's Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), Gain, Radiation pattern and S-parameter behavior. The obtained results demonstrate improved radiation properties at these frequencies, highlighting the potential of this antenna configuration for cost-effective and efficient 5G deployments.
