Role of AI in Pharmaceutical Dosage Designing
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an optimistic perspective in the pharmaceutical sector as well. Various subfields such as drug discovery, dosage design, clinical trials, and marketing are benefiting from its approach. Formulation design is an important aspect in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing, where utilizing appropriate AI tools can optimize and streamline the process, reducing time and resources compared to conventional approaches. Various ML algorithms have been proposed by scientists, which can result in less time consumption and also support achieving better results. These algorithms can help avoid various manufacturing defects and interactions between drugs and excipients, or between two drugs if present in a single formulation. However, these AI-ML algorithms need to be well-trained with human intervention, which is mandatory for the proper interpretation of data. Additionally, other data sources are required for training the model at the utmost level so that better formulations can be designed.
