Vulnerability Analysis of Mobile JKN (Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional) to Prevent Cyber Attacks
The increasing use of mobile devices has transformed information access but also heightened the risks of data breaches and cyber threats. The Mobile JKN application, vital for healthcare in Indonesia, faces significant security challenges. Research indicates that developers often neglect security measures, resulting in vulnerabilities that can expose sensitive patient data due to poor coding, inadequate testing, and a lack of security awareness. As part of Indonesia's national health insurance system, the JKN app handles sensitive information, including personal and medical histories. Breaches can lead to serious consequences, including compromised device security and financial losses. This study evaluates the security of personal data in the Mobile JKN app using the Hank Prunckun framework, which assesses the appeal to attackers, the ease of attacks, and potential impacts on users. The research includes a review of literature on mobile security and an analysis of security incident reports related to mobile applications. Findings provide insights into the app's security status and lay the groundwork for future initiatives to enhance data security in mobile health applications. Recommendations for developers and policymakers are also offered to improve user protection.
