Electric Circuit Topology Design with Bandwidth Consideration in Wireless Power Transfer Systems

This paper provides an overview of the characteristics of wireless power transfer across various applications and analyzes the suitability of resonant circuit topologies for each application domain. It proceeds with impedance matching by employing fundamental concepts of resonant circuits and equivalent impedance calculation formulas specific to each topology. Additionally, it describes the general features of SS and SP topologies. Finally, the paper assesses the appropriateness of these topologies through circuit simulation-bandwidth analysis, using case studies such as wireless electric vehicle charging and wireless power transfer for implantable medical devices.

Abstract

This paper provides an overview of the characteristics of wireless power transfer across various applications and analyzes the suitability of resonant circuit topologies for each application domain. It proceeds with impedance matching by employing fundamental concepts of resonant circuits and equivalent impedance calculation formulas specific to each topology. Additionally, it describes the general features of SS and SP topologies. Finally, the paper assesses the appropriateness of these topologies through circuit simulation-bandwidth analysis, using case studies such as wireless electric vehicle charging and wireless power transfer for implantable medical devices.
