Dual Port Merged-Elliptical Patch with Tapered Ground Designed for Integrated Narrow WiMAX/C-band and Wideband Antenna for Multiple Wireless Applications

In this manuscript, a dual-elliptical EM-wave inset feed antenna radiating electromagnetic energy with tapered ground is designed for WiMAX/C-band and Microwave-millimeter-wave band applications. The single-port antenna, a flower-type patch with a circular slot, is printed on the surface of the thin substrate and ground on opposite surfaces. This achieves bandwidth in Band1 of 3.22GHz-4.45GHz and Band2-bandwidth of 14.23GHz-40.0GHz. The identical patch is arranged in an orthogonal sequence, forming a four-port MIMO with bandwidth by all the patches nearing 3.00GHz-5.90GHz and 14.32GHz-40.0GHz. The MIMO configuration achieves isolation of more than −10.0dB in Band1 and more fantastic than −20.0dB in Band2. The diversity parameter includes <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\text{ECCMMW} < 0.05, \text{DGMMW} > 9.998\text{dB}$</tex>, TARCMMW more than −4.0dB, and <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\text{CCL}_{\text{MMW}} < 0.40\mathrm{b}/\mathrm{s}/\text{Hz}$</tex> with stable 2-D radiation patterns.
