Context Aware Spectrum Allocation for Indoor TeraHertz Communication in 6G
The emergence of Sixth Generation (6G) wireless networks present unprecedented opportunities for revolutionizing smart manufacturing environment through TeraHertz (THz) communication band. However, the unique characteristics of THz band, particularly their susceptibility to molecular absorption and high propagation losses, pose significant challenges for reliable indoor communication. This paper addresses these challenges by proposing a novel context aware spectrum allocation framework especially designed for indoor THz communication in smart man-ufacturing environment. Our framework integrates the mobility pattern, Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of Mobile-edge Entities (MEs) constituting of autonomous vehicles, industrial robots, and other intelligent agents with real time environment. We propose a hybrid approach by combining Q-Iearning with Hun-garian optimisation (QLH) that dynamically allocates resources by considering both fairness and priority-based objectives. Our work provides a valuable insight for practical deployment of THz communication systems in Industry 5.0 environments.
