Distributed WLAN Bands for 6G: Fundamentals and Technologies
This work provides first insight into a universal wireless channel modeling theory, covering major different channels at large variety of frequency bands and conditions. This is achieved through a unified channel modeling and the resulting equation of carrier impulse response. Then we apply the proposed theory to a 3-D non-stationary geometry-based space-time-frequency HS model of 6G wireless communication systems. The 6G pervasive channel model can describe the statistical properties of channels at: all frequency bands (e.g., sub-6 GHz and visible light dialog bands); an unlimited variety of scenarios, including unmanned aerial vehicles; ships; massive multiple-input multiple-output systems; reconfigurable intelligent surfaces and industry Internet-of-things. Using this approach, the 6GPCM can be truncated to different channel models in some frequency bands and conditions by varying parameters of the required model. These last are used as one-off cases and, in addition to these scenarios, other standard fifth generation channel models have been implemented. Moreover, the hypthesis 6GPCM implied statistical properties from previous measurements ( wide spread delay and angular directions) are properly derived which further demonstrate its accuracy, widespreadness and relevance.
