Application and Prospects of Spiking Neural Networks in Intelligent Perception

Spiking Neural Network (SNN), as a third-generation neural network model, can process a large amount of data with high efficiency and low energy consumption. Intelligent perception technology based on SNN has been widely paid attention to by researchers at home and abroad in recent years. At present, the main reason limiting its application in the field of intelligent perception is the lack of hardware chips with considerable arithmetic power. This paper introduces the current status of the application of SNN in the field of intelligent perception, including the research results of foreign and domestic universities and research institutions, as well as the relevant military industry, and puts forward the main problems that China is currently facing and makes an outlook.
