Financial Gains from Automated and Robotics in Fields
This paper investigates papers appeared on Economics of Mechatronic Technology and Robotics in agriculture published from 1990 until today to fill the research gap. The included bibliographic databases were ScienceDirect, Biz Source Total full text available via EBSCOhost (from 1996), Wiley was set up by Emerald, CAB Abstracts and Greenfile Food sciences sources AgEcon Search. 4817 documents were found. After the analysis of abstracts, 119 full texts were left on the operational definition. This was followed by a qualitative analysis of eight secured and ten proposed research papers looking at automatic agricultural machinery to automate certain horticulture tasks. To help guide engineers and scientists who will be developing automation and robotics systems to provide solutions in emerging economies, they must have an understanding of some economic/ social factors.
