A Smart Traffic Volume Measurment Based On Deep Learning

Efficient traffic management systems are very significant for urban development and sustainability. We suggests a comprehensive framework utilizing deep learning techniques for accurate traffic volume measurement. The proposed system involves several stages including preprocessing, pixel labeling, vehicle detection, vehicle verification, vehicle counting, identifier allocation, and vehicle tracking. Preprocessing techniques are employed to enhance image quality and reduce noise, thereby facilitating more accurate analysis. Pixel labeling is utilized to segment vehicles from the background, enabling precise detection. Vehicle detection algorithms based on deep learning models are then employed to identify vehicles within the traffic scene. Subsequently, a verification step is introduced to eliminate false positives and ensure the reliability of detected vehicles. The system then count the passing vehicles. To facilitate individual vehicle tracking, unique identifiers are allocated to each detected vehicle. This enables continuous monitoring of vehicle movements throughout the observed time frame, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of traffic dynamics. Overall, the proposed framework offers a robust solution for real-time traffic volume measurement, leveraging the capabilities of deep learning to improve accuracy and efficiency in urban traffic management systems.
