Más allá de las habilidades técnicas: la importancia de los valores en la financiación emprendedora y el éxito empresarial
This study investigates the influence of both achieved and attributed characteristics, as well as the values of entrepreneurs, on business performance, specifically focusing on entrepreneurial finance in Bogotá, Colombia. Recognizing the entrepreneur's pivotal role in both societal and economic contexts, this research aims to explore how these characteristics interplay to affect business success and financial outcomes. Employing factor analysis for dimension reduction, the methodology facilitated the evaluation of a sample of 771 entrepreneurs, leading to the substantiation of four central hypotheses. Results indicate that leadership emerges as a significant determinant of business success, highlighting a strong correlation between entrepreneurs' values and their financial performance. Furthermore, findings demonstrate that the values, contingent upon their achieved and attributed traits, critically influence entrepreneurial financial performance. Conclusively, this study underscores the necessity of considering values alongside technical competencies in entrepreneurial finance. These insights are vital for stakeholders in entrepreneurship and business management, providing valuable implications for the financial strategies and success of entrepreneurs both within and beyond the Colombian context.
